Terms of Use

Last updated: April 18, 2026

Plaincalcs (the "Site") is a free collection of financial calculators. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use at your own risk

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. You use the calculators and any results they produce at your own risk.

2. Not financial advice

Plaincalcs is an educational and informational tool. The calculators perform mathematical computations based on the numbers you enter. Nothing on the Site constitutes:

  • Financial, tax, or legal advice.
  • A personalized financial plan.

For guidance specific to your situation, consult a licensed professional. See our Disclaimer for more detail.

3. No warranty of accuracy

We take care to implement the formulas correctly and explain them clearly, but we do not guarantee that any result is free from mathematical, rounding, or input-interpretation errors. Always verify important numbers independently before relying on them. Future market conditions, tax rules, fees, and other real-world factors are not reflected in the calculations unless explicitly stated on the calculator's page.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plaincalcs and its operators are not liable for any losses, damages, or expenses (direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential) arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any calculation, explanation, or linked resource. This includes but is not limited to financial losses, tax consequences, and lost profits.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law, including consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or related infrastructure.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any non-public parts of the Site.
  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. Third-party services

The Site is hosted and served by Cloudflare, which also provides privacy-preserving aggregate analytics. See our Privacy Policy for details. Where we link out to third-party resources, those links are provided for convenience only; we do not control and are not responsible for their content.

7. Intellectual property

The content, design, and code of the Site are owned by Plaincalcs or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. The formulas themselves are standard financial mathematics and are in the public domain; our explanations, layout, and code are not.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Korea, except where local consumer law gives you stronger rights.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
